You will be working alongside a collegial team of CCFP(EM), FRCP(EM), and experienced CCFP emergency physicians providing a full range of care including thrombolysing STEMIs, stabilizing and transferring multi-system traumas, and running stroke codes (with Telestroke support PRN). NBRHC ED sees up to 160 visits per day, and is supported by a wide range of specialists including Anaesthesia, Cardiology (outpatient), ENT, General Internal Medicine, General Surgery, GI, OB/GYN, Nephrology, Ophthalmology, Orthopedics, Pediatrics, Psychiatry, Respirology (outpatient), Urology. Supervision:
You will be working alongside a collegial team with at least one other physician in the ED, often more (aside from night shifts where you will have phone contact and rapid in-person back-up from an ED colleague as required). Our group supports new graduates into practice with a range of mentorship and support options.

Min Requirement:
PGY4 or PGY5 residents currently enrolled in the FRCPC EM program in an Ontario Medical School and in good standing.

Additional Requirement:
ACLS, ATLS, PALS

Remuneration:
$150/hour with travel and accommodation support

Call:
Multiple shifts to consider:

8-hour acute shifts (0600-1400, 1200-2000, 1700-0100, 2300-0700)

8-hour non-acute shifts (0900-1700, 1600-2400)

6-hour flex (non-acute) shifts (0900-1500, 1300-1900)
